She received her B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and worked with the NOAA/National Severe Storms Laboratory primarily focusing on data collected from mobile Doppler radar platforms.
Renee was employed as a climate scientist at the National Wildlife Federation in Washington D.C. She is currently working on her MS in Ecology with the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory (NREL) working on the Northern Colorado – Global Climate Change Education (NC-GCCE) initiative funded by NASA.
For her research, she is working with Dr. Scott Denning on using satellite imagery and social science methods to quantify drought impacts on communities across the northern Great Plains.
